Scharmaine Lawson with Katie Couric of CBS Evening News
Think an EMR won't make a difference in your office? Katie Couric with CBS Evening News recently interviewed Scharmaine Lawson, a Nurse Practitioner and owner and founder of Advanced Clinical Consultants in New Orleans, to see how her practice has changed in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina.
For the last two years Ms. Lawson has been logging miles traveling to her patients, the majority of which are elderly and homebound New Orleans residents still residing in temporary housing and FEMA trailers.
And what does Ms. Lawson take with her? A tablet PC loaded with MediNotes e. With a current caseload approaching nearly 500 patients, MediNotes e allows Ms. Lawson to document her visit quickly and efficiently while spending quality time with her patients. It has also helped her to rapidly increase the productivity and efficiency of her practice since Hurricane Katrina.
Click here to watch the interview and learn more about Ms. Lawson’s inspiring journey and how she is making a difference, with the help of MediNotes e, in the lives of those who are still being affected by Hurricane Katrina.
